Sovereign cigarettes are produced by the tobacco factory “Liggett-Dukat”. This is a modern powerful factory, for the development and modernization of which the English tobacco company Gallaher Limited spent a significant amount. Sovereign cigarettes include two varieties – these are classic and lightweight versions. Cigarettes are made in King Size format. The design of the packs is simple, made in the traditional red and blue (blue) versions, depending on the type of cigarettes. The obverse of the tutu depicts an English sovereign coin. The pack of Sovereign cigarettes is made of thick cardboard, bright red. The central composition is occupied by a symbolic image of the British golden sovereign. On this sample, the “sovereign” is partially voluminous, on later samples only a drawing will be printed.
Sovereign cigarettes are also sold in a pack of twenty king- size Sovereign cigarettes with a conventional acetate filter, enclosed in a shell of foil paper. The design of cigarettes is simple – “cork” filter paper and the brand name “in red”. The inscription “king size” seems to be an anachronism, but initially the “red” Sovereign variety was designated as “King Size” and only later as “Full Flavor”.
